Senior Adult Ministry (“SAMS”)
Our SAMS group is an active and vital part of our church family. We meet twice monthly, once for coffee & donuts and once for lunch with a guest speaker. There is always great fellowship and fun! Plus we go on trips throughout the year. Please contact Steve Sheppard at
When We Meet:
Our Senior Adults meet on the First Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the church Fellowship Hall for coffee and donuts. There is not a planned program, but we enjoy a time of laughter and fellowship, and occasionally a game of Scrabble or Dominos gets started!
We also meet on the Third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the church Fellowship Hall for lunch and an information meeting or program. Each member brings a covered dish to share in a meal – which is followed by announcements, prayer requests, and an informative and entertaining program designed just for our Senior Adults.
In the past we have had music programs, sing-alongs, and speakers on such topics as new Medicare changes, protection from scam artists, and how to write a living will.
If you have questions or if you’d like to learn more please contact Steve Sheppard by phone 770-963-2944x227 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
When We Grow
Our Senior Adults are always involved in Worship, Sunday School, and Bible Study.
We have a group of Senior Adults who meet every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a book and Bible study (“MSG”). This group studies books written by prominent Christian authors (Max Lucado, Charles Stanley, Charles Swindoll, Adam Hamilton, and others) as we dig into the Word.
