Mourning to Joy: Grayson UMC Grief Workshop

After the loss of a loved one, many emotions are experienced that can feel overwhelming and exhausting. While everyone's grief can look very different, you don't have to walk through the wilderness of sorrow alone. As we journey through an 8-week grief workshop, we will build a community of sharing and encouragement, while exploring the concept of how grief and joy can coexist. This workshop is for those who have lost a loved one at any point in their life and are in need of a faith-based group to embrace the Mourning & Joy of grief together.

We will meet each Sunday afternoon in March and April (with the exception of Easter Sunday) from 2 - 3:30 p.m.

The facilitator, Margie Peden, LPC, CLC, will lead the group through the book, Because You Were Here: Celebrating Our Loved Ones: A grief workshop with a twist of joy, by The Rev. Dr. C.D. McDonald.

This is a faith community grief workshop and not intended to be a psychotherapy group.
