Adult Sunday School Classes and Small Groups

“20 … the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus..”  Ephesians 20-21

Grayson UMC Sunday School classes and groups are about understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They are about  strengthening individuals and families through teaching, learning, and friendship. Sunday School classes and groups provide for robust discussions, asking questions, sharing lessons, and learning to live the life that Jesus taught us.

Our Sunday School leaders use a variety of resources to meet the needs of the class.  The leaders may teach directly from the Bible, by using a book study, or by using video supported studies.  We are focused on fellowship, caring, learning, and growing as Christians.

Our adult Sunday School groups primarily meet between our 8:30am and 11am services.  We are building on the number of offerings that would meet after our 9:30am service.  Our current classes are listed below. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our Sunday School groups.  Come Engage with Us.  For more information, please email us at Adultdiscipleship@graysonumc.org

Christ in Us

Led by: Tracy Gerard
Location:
Room 7 on the Sanctuary Hall
Class Description:
Our members have been and currently are open minded and are willing to explore existing literature in our effort to grow as Christians. Our lessons are taken from books and articles that we read and discuss, and each of us share in facilitating discussions. Sharing responsibility for leading discussions encourages us to conduct personal research which results in our growth as Christians. Our discussions are open minded, but always lead us back to the fact that God is in charge and we are blessed that He is!

We are currently discussing John Eldredge’s book, Beautiful Outlaw, which gives us a wonderful insight into the “playful, disruptive, extravagant personality of Jesus”. This book is available on Amazon in paperback for about $10.
